• Congratulations to the Class of 2019!

To our graduates, we look forward to your participation in the 2019 commencement exercises as a way of sharing this great accomplishment with your fellow students, family, faculty and staff who have supported you on your journey.

The ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.

The ceremony will be approximately four (4) hours.

If you leave Barclays Center at any time on the day of the ceremony, you will not be able to reenter. Once the procession has begun, you may not leave the center. LaGuardia is not responsible for any personal belongings (i.e., bags, strollers, umbrellas, and other miscellaneous items).

Find out everything you need to know about commencement.

As a graduate, you do not need an admission ticket for yourself. Your cap and gown will serve as your admission ticket.

If you requested extra tickets on your cap & gown pickup date, you may pick them up in the Campus Life office (Room M-115) through Friday, June 7.

Tickets are no longer available for those who did not put in a request.

  • Academic Attire

You will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony without graduation regalia (in other words, a cap and gown). Here’s how you can order the proper attire.

If you emailed Herff Jones and asked to pick up your cap and gown on the day of graduation, you may visit their table in the lobby of the Dean St. entrance at Barclays Center.

Extra tickets for family and friends are no longer available.

You can keep your cap and gown as a souvenir.

See the FAQ page for more information on obtaining your cap and gown.
