At LaGuardia, you have the option to earn while you learn. The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program offers students an opportunity to earn money by working part-time and gaining valuable hands-on work experience. Work-Study students can work on or off-campus. Students who have been awarded FWS funds will receive instructions via email on how to apply for jobs online. Students who have not been awarded FWS funds will need to stop by the SFS-Payroll office in C113 to complete the FWS Request form. Any questions regarding the Federal Work-Study Program can be sent to FWSJOBS@lagcc.cuny.edu.
Federal Work Study Process:
Students are notified through their financial
aid award letter if they were awarded work-study. If the student has never
participated in the program they will be required to complete the online FWS
Student Orientation and submit the “Students Rights & Responsibilities”
form along with the FWS packet. The next
step is for students to search and apply for a job on-campus or off-campus online. After the student has been hired they are
required to print and complete the FWS forms available online. The work-study
agreement must be completed and signed by both the student and supervisor. Students must submit the completed FWS forms/packet
to SFS- Payroll office in room C-113.
