LaGuardia’s Office of Public Safety is staffed by law enforcement professionals licensed by New York State. Our officers provide a safe and secure campus environment by preventing crime, maintaining the peace, and ensuring that all comply with campus safety policies. In an effort to enhance safety and security, all students, faculty, and staff are required to wear their college ID cards at all times in order to gain access to open buildings, events and educational programs. Public Safety staff will request such identification as you enter the facilities. If you do not have your college ID, you will be asked to show some form of picture identification. (State ID, IDNYC, Passport etc.)
