Letter from the LaGuardia Community College Foundation Board of Directors
Thank you to all supporters and friends of LaGuardia Community College Foundation.
Supporting the Foundation demonstrates that you understand and value the important role community colleges play in our economic recovery by preparing our population to join, or perhaps, through new training, re-join, today’s workforce.
LaGuardia is a unique environment where, through a diverse offering of academic and vocational programs, students from all over the world are guided toward building a better life for themselves and their families. Though tuition at LaGuardia is low compared to other institutions of higher education, two-thirds of the LaGuardia student body come from households whose annual income does not exceed $25,000. For many, the cost of attaining a college education is truly a financial burden.
Since 2003, the LaGuardia Community College Foundation has been bridging this financial gap, having raised over $4.1 million and assisting over 2,500 diligent students.
Again, we thank those of you who continue to support the Foundation and encourage others to participate in our efforts to provide essential assistance to LaGuardia students whose lives are transformed by our support.
Sincerely,
LaGuardia Community College Foundation Board of Directors
