We offer several different ways to interact with students - our free online job database, job fairs, on-campus interviewing, information sessions and much more.POST A JOB ON COLLEGE CENTRAL NETWORKOur recruitment services involve a cooperative effort with College Central Network, Inc. Follow the instructions below to access our FREE online job posting and resume search system. You must register and be approved in order to post jobs and conduct resumes searches. An email address is required to register. Contact our office if you do not have access to email.• Go to www.collegecentral.com/laguardia• Select the Employers icon. Read the information on the second screen.• Choose the link for Register Now. Enter registration info and create an Access ID. If the ID you choose is already in our database, add a letter(s) or number(s) or an underscore. All IDs must be unique.• Once approved by our office, you will receive an email notification confirming your Access ID and informing you of your Password.Once approved, using the CCN Recruitment Services for Employers, from your account page, you may:• Update or Review Registration Information• Post a New Job• Give plenty of detail to make your postings attractive to students/alumni. You may cut and paste job descriptions. If posting part-time jobs, please list hours required.• Please list the city or area where the job is located to aid jobseekers.• You can edit the resume submission deadline date to best fit the job. • Be sure to list an email address in the contact information to receive resumes via the system. Please check http://www.collegecentral.com/laguardia/Employer.cfm for specific dates and times of our fairs.RESUME REFERRALSCCPD knows that you are looking for the best and brightest LaGuardia students and alumni; CCPD can refer them to you. In addition to their academics and leadership, these students have completed extensive professional development through CCPD so we know they are ready for the great opportunities from the employers. If you would like more information regarding resume referrals, please contact Sharon Long, Senior Employment Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Danny Bernard, Employment Specialist, at email@example.com.PRE-SCREENED APPLICANTSOur professional staff will assist your organization in interpreting your requirements to prospective applicants and identifying the ideal candidates to be interviewed. The name, address, and telephone number of your company and contact person is kept confidential, therefore you receive calls from our professional staff only. At your request, however, applicants will call directly. Applicants are sent with a referral card to guarantee that they have been screened and referred to you by a CCPD. The referral card is also a fast and cost-effective way to notify the Employment Specialists of the disposition of each interview.
INTERVIEW ON CAMPUSWe know it can be much easier for employers to interview students on campus. Employers wishing to conduct interviews on-campus for full-time and part-time opportunities may participate in our on-campus recruiting program. The typical interview schedule for an employer in the program will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. 30-minute interviews will allow 10 candidates per schedule; 45-minute interviews will allow 8 candidates per schedule; 60-minute interviews allow 6 candidates per schedule. EMPLOYER INFORMATION TABLEIf you are not able to attend a job fair but still want to connect with LaGuardia students, we can arrange, at a date and time that is convenient for you, to have a table strategically placed on campus so you will have significant student traffic where you can display materials and recruit potential employees.
