    Our goal is to assist you to plan your career and obtain employment. 

    Follow these steps to begin your career journey! Before your first visit to CCPD:

    1. Begin your eCareer plan by completing tabs 1 and 3 at https://intranet.laguardia.edu/Ecareer/
    2. Subscribe for CCPD text message updates: Text @ccpd14 to 81010 
    3. Follow CCPD on Social Media
    4. Log in to your Career Hawks account (Coming Soon! Fall 2015).

    Career Planning:
    Are you undecided about your major or not sure what jobs are available in your field of study?  

    1. Meet with a Career Advisor during walk-in hours or schedule an appointment to discuss and evaluate career options, make choices, and create a plan to achieve your goals.
    2. Use Vault, a comprehensive company profile and career topic guidebook, to research companies.  Create your FREE student account at http://access.vault.com/career-insider-login.aspx?aid=148715.
    3. Use Career Coach to help you find a good career by providing the most current local data on wages, employment, job postings, and associated education and training.
    4. Participate in on-campus major and career-related events.

    Employment Services:
    Are you actively looking for a job? Let CCPD prepare you for the job search process by:

    1. Attend a Resume Writing Workshop to learn how to develop and market yourself with your resume.
    2. Schedule an appointment with a CCPD Professional to review your resume.
    3. Attend the Social Media & Your Job Search or Job Search Strategies Workshops.
    4. Write down the Job ID # of three job postings of interest from Career Hawks (coming soon).
    5. Meet with an Employment Specialist during walk-in hours or schedule an appointment, to discuss opportunities, apply for jobs, and participate in on-campus recruitment events.

    Current students and recent graduates (one year or less) can receive: 

    • Assistance in assessing their skills, developing interview techniques and in preparing a resume.
    • Full or part-time, permanent or temporary job referrals based on interest, skills experience and class schedules.
    • Invitations to annual jobs fairs, on campus recruitment activities, and career fairs.

    If you are currently enrolled in a degree program at LaGuardia, show your valid LaGuardia ID card at Center for Career & Professional Development reception desk in room B-114. (A Bursar's receipt will also be accepted as proof of attendance (during the first two weeks of the academic term only.)

    Recent LaGuardia Graduates (Alumni over one year must obtain an Alumni card from M-116 or E-218). You may register with CCPD within one year of completing your degree requirements, which entitles you to one year of service.
